Sleeping in the V berth?

I'm 5' 10" and just have a couple of inches of spare room. Maybe if you slept down the middle.

Ruth and I looked like a couple dogs doing the round and round in a circle thing before lying down but we have worked it out. My head is in the corner under the water fill (Starboard side) with feet against the anchor locker, Ruth is head into the electronic panel and feet at the locker as well. My goal is to catch enough big fish every day so as to be quite tired, then I fit better. Ruth is 5'7 and I am 6' Mike on Huda Thunkit
I am about 5'10" and a "belly sleeper"... and I just fit. I lay on the diagonal and my outstretched toes just touch the anchor locker with a bit of room beyond my head. The Blonde matches my diagonal, and does fine. I tried sleeping down the middle, and found less room than using the diagonal.
We did add a memory foam pad and have found that really adds to the comfort (the factory cushions are very nice BTW). We sleep well onboard, but there is no gracious way to enter/exit... and sometimes can be quite humorous depending on the state of dress. :moon We've been sailing for years, so v-berths and close conditions were nothing new to us. Our grown daughter (who thinks a hotel without room service is roughing it), looked at the berth and said, "I don't think so." I replied, "You won't get the chance - that's our bed. You and your hubby can stack up on the dinette or out in the cockpit."
I don't think we'll have to worry about sharing space. :wink Although, she and the Blonde are already planning a spring vacation where we will be located in a marina with a hotel. That may be as close to a schedule as I'll have to keep.
Back to the bed: if you're a back-sleeper or a side-sleeper, I would think 6' would fit fine. We belly-sleepers take up a bit more length.

I believe that the v-berths on the 22 and 25 are the same length.
I'm 6'3" and am comfortable in our v-berth. Like Alasgun, we turn around after we get into the berth area. I sleep to port with my head aft and feet slightly across to the starboard side. Marcia, 5'4", sleeps to port and my feet intruding to her side does not affect her.

Well, isn't that sweet. Ruth and I are snugglers too and no where close to 65! Maybe we could have a poll to locate our oldest snuggling couple? Mike on Huda Thunkit

I am 5'10" the wife is 5'4". We like to sleep with our heads forward. Entry is easier that way. We lost about 12" by not putting our heads against the bulkhead (not much head room under the foredeck). So, we added a sliding extension at the foot of the berth. A cushion covered with the same sunbrella fabric fits on it and there ya are! :thup

No problem. I'm 6'4" and sleep across the beam, head to starbord, aft where it's widest. The better half forward , as she's 5'4". Not as comfy as home, but I sleep fine on the boat. Incidentally, one of the big reasons I chose this boat, is that it's about the only small boat that I could stand in, without ducking.

I'm 6' and have had killer naps in the V-birth of a 22' . Its big enough for two consenting adults. Or a bunch of squirley kids. I do prefer the dinette birth for on the water sleeping.

On a C-Dory, the V-berth is actually for Lhasas...it might be for Great Danes on a Sea Ray or something, I don't know...
