What are folks opinion on a single axle ez-load trailer for the CD 22' cruiser, vs the dual axle?

You will find as many opinions on this as there are owners here. And all the anwers are right.

If you were sitting before me, I would be asking:
1. What are you towing with?
2. How far are you towing?
3. How often do you tow?
4. Ho do you use the boat- or how much stuff is aboard it?
5. Do you have a tight driveway to back into?
6. What do you have now? Are you replacing an existing trailer?

Based on these answers, and some follow up questions, I would be able to suggest the right trailer for you. The next guy may have different answers, and may get a different recomendation.

Thanks. I did not realize the topic had already recieved more discussion than the stimulas package.

Our plan is to put many miles/year on both boat and trailer. I did buy two new wheels and 6 ply radials so I can carry two spares. I can see where it would make sense to work towards a tandem axle trailer. I hate to see my wife have to get another job, but ...

Yep - and once the trailer is paid for, that extra income will pay for the extra fishing and boat gear you're going to "need".
