SFB - Nice Place to Visit

OK, so this is NOT a boating topic...I'm ready to be chastised.

The other day, our school had an auction and one of the items auctioned off was a case of Snoqualmie Falls Brewery beer and a "growler" with gift certificate to fill with any beer I wanted from the brewery. Of course, knowing two of the owners, I HAD to win this auction.

So, many of you know that Snoqualmie Falls Brewery makes excellent beer. Dave, of Anna Leigh and Alyssa Jean, and Pat and Patty, of Day Dream and Crabby Lou, have been gracious enough to supply a lot of CBGTs with their craft, but my family and I visited the brewery Taproom and it was excellent also.

I have two little boys, C-Brat Rug-rats, (3 and 7 years old) and they enjoyed themselves also. The food was tasty, the service was great and the beer...well nothing short of excellent. As I sat there, I kept thinking, "If only I lived closer...I'd make this the dad's hangout." Still, I've already made plans to return.

I'm a big believer in buying local and supporting the local businesses that make my community the place I chose to raise my family. C-Brats is definitely a community, I'm all into doing my part to support the members on this site. Besides, drinking Snoqualmie Falls Beer and eating at their Taproom is definitely no sacrifice!

One final note: while I was eating/drinking I think I saw someone drive buy with a boat on a trailer, which kinda-sorta looked like a C-Dory. Does that count as sticking to a boating theme?

Regards,

Thanks for the kind words Sarge. Pat and I are very happy and proud of the way the Taproom turned out. Not to mention the high quality ales we produce. BTW our Haystack Hefaweisen just won a Gold Medal two weeks ago. My daughter Leigh was the co-chair of that event, so that explains how the beer got all the way from Snoqualmie to Edmonds, via Guemes Island.

Thanks, Carl - glad you enjoyed it! As David says, we are very proud of the Taproom! So, if you don't see our beer on tap or on the shelf in your grocery store, ASK for it! Beverage managers listen to their customers! And we thank you for you support, to quote Bartles (or was it James?).
