seating in a 16 ft

hello all
we be wondering if anyone has ever changed the style or location of seats in a 16 ft angler. the wife and i are rubbing our knees together as we both jump around from our seats when fishing or trying to get in the bow storage space. it looks to us like maybe we could either relocate our existing seats or make some new seats to give us some more room. any suggestions?
 
The simplest solution is to simply take pleasure in rubbing knees....
 
I've heard rumors of some folk removing the pedestals and sitting on a cooler. Don't know if that would help or not.

Come to think if it, maybe that was in a 14 footer...
 
When I purchased my 16' C-dory I had it built without seats. I have installed my own cooler seat and positioned it about a foot back from original seating. When it stops raining here in New York, I'll take a few pictures of it to show you how it looks.
