SBS Gathering at Snoqualmie Falls Taproom Friday 1/25

All,

As I mentioned in another thread, we'll be meeting at the Taproom on Friday 1/25/13. The event will start at 5PM and end around 9PM. $15/person for catering + cash bar. I'll provide rides to 3-4 people from the boat show and I assume others will be willing to take some also. Tyboo or DaNag, can we get a separate sign up for this?

I have booked a 15 passenger van and will provide rides at no cost to anyone who wishes to go. The van will leave from and return to Occidental Avenue S. at the Northwest corner of Century Link Field (where the boat show is being held). We'll probably leave around 4:20 PM with an intended arrival time at Snoqualmie Falls Taproom of around 5PM. We'll depart from the taproom around 8:45 PM and return to the boat show area (with a dropoff near the hotel) around 9:15PM. So I can take 14. My wife can also drive another 4 people in her car and Tom has offered to drive some in his vehicle. I will start a separate thread for the taproom visit. I will need to get a good sense of who plans on going so that we the Taproom knows how much food to make and so I can be assured we have transport covered. Food will be $15/head.

Roger-

Count me in for the taproom and ride!

(Is this the sign-up or will there be a second list under "Event Signups" above?)

Also, count me in on the banquet at Four Seas Chinese Restaurant on Saturday night.

Great Joe - I'm hoping to get a separate sign up for the taprook and the Four Seas but a response here will work. It will be good to see you again.

Due to the fall that Kate took about a month ago and the resulting dental implants and bad knee we have cancelled the hotel and won't be doing the boat show this year. I do plan on coming up to the brewery for the Friday night get together.
MRI on the knee this coming week with possible surgery later.

Back to the top! If you were on the fence about coming, here are a couple of inducements:

- Our own Sam Landsman (20dauntless) will be giving the same presentation at the Taproom he is giving at the Boat Show, "20 Feet to Alaska." Sam's story and photography are just wonderful, and this is really something not to be missed.

- Scott Boysen, production manager of C-Dory (Triton Marine) will be in attendance, and he is trying to get John Baker, GM of their new Seattle C-Dory / SeaSport dealership
Waypoint Boats to attend. Scott is responsible for the exceptionally high build quality of C-Dorys and Ventures and it is worthwhile to get acquainted with Scott. John will be arranging C-Dory events just as he has done for Sea Sport, and we will want to coordinate our CBGTs with his events.

-Roger Bumgarner will provide for up to two 15 passenger vans for those who don't want to drive out to Snoqualmie. Taking the van is a VERY good idea!

Roger and I both need to know a bit in advance how many folks to plan for, so this is the place to let us all know!

I'm planning on being there, driving myself. Really looking forward to Sam's presentation. Snoqualmie Falls root beer is just 'frosting on the cake' (so to speak).

Roger B already knows but Sally and I won't make it this year either due to a temporary travel prohibition (hopefully). We'll be thinking about all, hope you have a great time! Hope to be back in battery in time to go to Costa Rica mid Feb, if not, I may just cancel 2013 entirely!

Happy New Year!!

Charlie

Charlie. Sorry to hear that you are not going to make it. temporary travel prohibition ? are you on the bad list again? How about the train? your retired, you have the time.

Susan and I both need a seat in the van and I will drive. I dont drink so I might as well drive. Did I tell you about the time I qualified at the track??

Nope, not moi, my bride... And I only drink when I'm alone or with somebody.. And you know I'm already "untrainable". And no, I'm not retired, will do it once and for all in Feb of '14. Gotta pay for the toys...

Qualified at the track... :disgust I'll call and warn the local LEOs! You folks have fun, we'll miss all of you!

Cindie and I will swing by the Taproom on our way to the hotel so no ride required here but we could take a couple of folks from the taproom to the hotel if that helped.
