I would like to know what the more knowledgeable do for routine electrical maintenance. I notice in particular that when I return from a trip, there is plenty of moisture in the starboard aft battery box. I understand the concept of polishing battery terminals, but what can you do for moisture? Years ago when I had a funky old boat I would douse the connections regularly with WD-40, but have heard since that it isn't a good idea.

What are you doing to keep the electrics healthy?

Electronic connections which are subject to salt air/spray are kept coated with "Corrosion Block". http://www.corrosion-control.com/corrblock.html

I spray the power head electrical connections on a regular basis. There is no build up--no corrosion.

Thanks, Bob. I'll see if I cna find it locally.
