C-MAP CHART SUPPORT
Coastal Explorer now supports C-MAP by Jeppesen cartography. The C-MAP charts include, excellent chart coverage for a given region, photos and diagrams of ports and marinas, land elevation information, and tides and tidal stream data. This means they are an ideal source of information for boaters headed outside of the United States, or boaters who desire complete vector coverage for areas not yet covered by NOAA vector charts, such as the Intracoastal Waterway.
Coastal Explorer customers may install and use the C-MAP MAX charts on up to three computers. Chart updates are available from C-MAP at a discounted price. For more information visit www.rosepointnav.com

Rose Point NMEA 2000® USB GATEWAY
NMEA 2000® is the new standard for communication between marine electronic devices. Nearly all new plotters and other marine electronic devices use NMEA 2000®, which means there is probably data on your boats NMEA 2000® network that you might want to view in Coastal Explorer. The Rose Point Gateway is used to connect NMEA 2000® devices to the computer and Coastal Explorer. It is certified by the NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) which ensures it will work with other certified third party NMEA 2000® devices. The Rose Point Gateway is a small encapsulated module with two 6ft cables extending from each side, one with a standard NMEA 2000® micro connector, and the other with a USB connector for plugging into the computer. LED indicators are used to easily determine connection status and proper operation. Once connected, users can add new instrument panels to the task pane in Coastal Explorer and customize them to display various types of NMEA 2000® data. Get a Rose Point NMEA 2000® Gateway today to easily connect to your NMEA 2000® devices and network.
The suggested retail price for the Rose Point Gateway is $299.00. It is available through Rose Point resellers nationwide and on the Rose Point web store www.coastalexplorer.net/products/54
I have no interest in these companies but do like this software.
