Rod holders that will mount on the handrail

All,

I've been looking at an easy way to add some rod holders to the roof. Since my radar is already mounted forward, a radar arch aft was not really a good plan. Also, I wanted something that wouldn't interfere much with putting a dinghy on the roof. I came across these rod holders from CE Smith that are designed to be mounted on a T-top rail. I ordered 2 to see if I'd like them on the Tomcat. They're pricey (about $100/each) but they work well and I like they way they look. Also, installation required no new holes in the roof. The result is in the image below. I'll probably order two more for the other side.

Today I ordered two more of the CE Smith rod holders to mount on the starboard side. I also picked up two rod holders from West Marine to mount on the handrails on the bulkhead. I bought the adjustable ones so I could tip them out slightly. This allows the net to be positioned in a way that it won't tangle with the rods mounted above.

I've had four of them on the MOOSE for several years now and they work great; they keep the spare rods up and out from underfoots while fishing.
