Kept my Scotty downrigger and need to find good way to mount it on venture. Anyone use the rod holder adapter is it a good solid way to use downrigger? Now I need to order another plug in and get it hard wired to location that it will be mounted,or long cables with alligator clips and attach to battery? Other choice is get plate bracket and fasten it direct to gunnel. I do have the rail mounted brackets ,but have not seen if unit will fit with canvas top on ,not side panels just top. Just wondering what your using.
