Replacing a FloJet 4405

I have a FloJet 4405 on my 2006 25' Cruiser. The pump is acting up. If I decide to get a new one, should I get another 4405, or should I switch, and, if switching, to what brand and model?

Your pump is 8 years old---not bad! I would stick with the same pump. They have a good reputation. If it is just the valves, they can be replaced. If the motor is bad, then it will be best to get a whole new pump.

Sorry not to have replied sooner. The replacement was fairly easy for a rookie like me. I ordered the pump and the filter on Amazon. Turns out that there are two different filter attachment styles and I received the wrong one. So I just used the old filter. Too late to return the wrong one, and there doesn't seem to be a way to order the right one -- have to go to West Marine for that, I guess. Thanks, all.
