Replaced my Wallas

Hello all,
This summer I pulled my Wallas 95D from my boat and replaced it with a brand new Wallas 85.

If anyone is interested in a 95D that needs some tinkering I've put it up for sale on Craigslist. It was operating when I pulled it but was having some issues. Here's a link to the ad with some details.

To read the thread with some of my problems with it go to:

I can ship it for around $60 insured in a cooler if anyone is interested.

You, sir, are a glutton for punishment! There are only two kinds of Wallas owners, those who have had trouble and those who are going to. You may go five years with it working flawlessly, and then, halfway to Alaska or on the Great Loop, it is going to crap out on you and leaving you needing to ship it back to Seattle for an $800 motherboard and stuck with no heat...

We removed our Wallas when we replaced the counter top in the galley. It is still working fine (for the moment), but we are struggling with whether to put it back in or not. So far my vote is "not" but Patty may overrule me. But we will definitely buy another one.

It sold quickly for $900 with a backup buyer waiting if the first buyer doesn't come thru These guys have more patience or talent than i do.

Congrats on the sale - gives me some hope that my perfectly functional 5 year old Wallas might just fetch enough for a new Espar!

Pat-

Why not just buy a new Wallas and keep the old one and install them both, like having twin motors for redundancy?

We do it with electronics, too, no?

Keep the (Wallas) Faith!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Pat, I'm sure you can sell it as long as you don't give it your "ringing endorsement" about two kinds of Wallas Owners....
