reno camping

Hi C Brats, my walkabout starts Sept 1 Heading down the Washington/ Oregon coast hwy 101 then over to Reno for air races. Does anyone know of a good spot in Reno or Stead to camp for a few days with truck and boat? Rv place or pull thru camp site be good. Thanks in advance, George
 
Lake Almanor is on the way to Reno....yer sure welcome to come park in our driveway ....about 125 miles north and west of Reno....

Hey,

Checkout Bordertown RV park on highway 395 at the California/Nevada border.
2-3 miles from the air races. Nice rv park, restaurant and tourist casino. Call ahead during special events! The closer you are to the races the more you'll enjoy being there!
Also Shamrock RV park next to Bonanza casino 6-7 miles away.

after the air show splash the boat into Tahoe or and Donner lake. Some of the most beautiful boating you will every see. go here

Emerald bay is just wonderful and has to been seen to believed. Go see the viking castle and the Tea Room.
 
Hey Tom

Tahoe has gotten to be a pain to launch these days, mandatory mussel inspection (which of course you have to pay for)and launch fee will take up considerable time and money just to get on the water. I just take mine out to the delta and boat there instead. Next weekend will be on Tahoe in a friends boat for the wooden boat show. You are correct Emerald bay is a nice spot
