Reno air race question

Hi C Brats, I start my walkabout on Sept 1 with a slow travel down the Washington/ Oregon coast and then over to Reno for the air races Sept 13 to 18. Then on down to Lake Powell gathering. I'd like to know if anyone knows of a good spot for a boat and truck to camp near Stead or Reno for a few days? I'll stay aboard. A byddy will meet me for a few days but he'll be staying downtown. Thanks in advance! George
 
Seems like last time I was there people made arrangement with the day lot people right outside the track to camp. There was also a KOA type camp not far (about 5 miles) away. It has been quite a few years though since I was there. Sorry I cannot be more specific. I think if you go to the air race sight they may have more info
 
Hey George, if you drive down the runway really, really fast, maybe they'll take pity on you and give you a place to park!! :mrgreen:
