I just finished a really good boating book. It is "Seaworthy: Essential lessons from BoatU.S.'s 20 Year Case File of Things Gone Wrong" by Robert A. Adriance. Published in 2006 by International Marine: McGraw Hill. Great reports of accidents, losses, stupid mistakes, etc. from Boat U.S.'s "Seaworthy" magazine.
Chapters are: Avoiding Collisions, Preventing Fires, Staying Afloat, Seamanship, etc. I picked up quite a few good tips and will make some changes here and there. Its an easy read and I think a very worthwhile one.
