Raymarine EV-100 autopilot info need

Hi there,


Wondering if anyone has installed the new raymarine ev 100 autopilot on there c dory? It's a lot different then the s1000 and It should work better at trolling speed.

We are installing the new evolution autopilot on our Marinaut 215. Won't be getting the boat until October so cannot comment on the characteristics yet. Just from reading the specs, the new autopilot is more in line with the xps-10 than the s1000. Both are good just depends what you want them to do. It might be safe to say that both the xps-10 and the evolution series will work better at slow speeds. I don't have any experience with either so maybe someone will chime in who trolls with the s1000.
 
I have been looking at AP for some time. I have gotten mixed stories about the S1000. Dealers will tell you stay away from the s1000 if you want to troll. Seems there is a break down some where with GPS. Not much help I know. Have decided on staying away from it as I fish a lot.

Did you buy the 100 model or the 200 model?
 
Sorry for the delay, I had to check with Les at EQ marine.
He is installing the 100 model.
 
Correction, just talked to Les again and he is installing the 200 model. The 100 model has to small of a pump for the hydraulic steering.
