Question on Steering installed in 1982 22 ft. Angler

I am trying to obtain information on the original steering supplied in the 1982 22 ft Angler model.
I have searched the site with Google and still have not confirmed what unit is in my hull.
There are no external markings that I can find on the visible end of the gearbox housing.
Is the unit the Morse Controls Command 2 Steering System?
If so I have located the manuals that I need.
If it is not that unit I'm in a quandry as to what make the unit is and if it is possible to get a manual and parts for the unit still.

I had a Command 2 on my 1991 22 cruiser, but I can't tell you how to identify yours, except that the cable was wound up inside the helm with no 'tail' of cable sticking out. The cables have a number stenciled on the cover near the motor end, which might help it you can find it.

It may be cheaper to replace the entire system, both helm and cable than it would be to change out either the helm or cable.

If the steering can still be moved, count the number of turns lock-to-lock to help decide what to replace it with.
