Question about the value of used twin engines

Hi All,

I am a new C-Dory 22ft cruiser owner. I live on the Oregon Coast and some older man was moving to Arizona, He had the boat way under valued (like $15K - I guess he didn't know what it was worth) so I couldn't pass it up. I love to salmon, halibut and tuna fish, but felt uncomfortable taking 12 year old Honda 40hp Twins our 40-50 miles for Tuna. My son-in-law is a boat mechanic and convinced me to put a single 90ph Yamaha (2019) and a kicker. Got the 6 year warranty for free buying it this time of year. I was going to go with Suzuki but the nearest place for warranty service is 90 miles. My Son-in-law is a certified Yamaha guy so he can do the warranty work and we can get parts in 2-4 hours if needed.

Anyway, I have these 2 Honda 40ph motors I'm taking off. Both run well and I put 120 hours on them since I purchased the boat. I am not sure how to value them for resell. Does anyone know what their approx. worth is? Secondly, where would you best the best place to market them?

BTW: I have fallen in love with this boat... It's just so much fun.
 
Check what similar o/bs are selling for on Craiglst. If these are non EFI engines then they will probably sell for 1/4 new price maybe 1/3 if EFI.

How many total hours on the two Hondas? There are members (and many others) who have gotten 1500 to over 2000 hours? There should be a fairly good market for these if low hours.

I would start by this site--since you will have all of the rigging--it makes more sense than selling them singly.
