Prop Size for 22 foot Angler with 115 Yamaha 4 stroke

If you are going to Yellowstone Lake (7,900 feet) go with the 13" three blade prop on a 115 Yamaha motor. My motor is the Mercury EFI 115, which is really a Yamaha with Merc. cosmetics. With a medium load I can max out at 28 mph (gps speed over ground recorded), With very heavy loads, you will need to move weight forward on your 22' and use your tabs (60%) to get on plane. Changing a prop is not that big a deal if you are not on the water.

OK another 115 prop question. I have a 92 yamaha 115 2 stroke with a 13.25 x17 blade on it. I normally run it between 4000-5000 rpm for a speed range of 14 to 24 mph when loaded. a little faster when light. the sounds about right but I can drop the throttle and get 6000 rpm and 33mph loaded and even higher rpms and speed when it is just me. I am thinking I am under propped and there for looking at 13X19 to drop my WOT rpms and up my fuel economy. right no I am getting 2.5-3 mpg but that is running above 20 mph. will this work?
