Prop Shopping

I would really appreciate advice on a good prop for my 22 cruiser. I am for the most part lightly loaded, and would like to see better Mpg's. I am not concerned about tremendous hole shot, but would like a good prop for cruising right at 20 mph. I have a new Suzuki DF90. The current prop is a 13.75X17. It doesn't perform terribly but I believe there is room for improvement. If anyone has this dialed in to the sweet spot, I would love to hear any recommendations for a good prop.

Thank you

What really maters with a prop is, it has to allow the engine to make the correct RPM @ WOT. Or you will be lugging throughout the RPM range.

Very true!

Also, props are available in 2" increments, which limits your choices, although you can switch to a four blade, a stainless, a different diameter, etc., for somewhat different performance within a given pitch.

You can also go to a prop shop and have them change your prop in increments other than two inches at a time, but it will be fairly expensive.

What's your present WOT RPM with the 17" pitch?

Joe. :teeth :thup
