When you fill out your profile, add the year, size and length of your boat to your location. That way when someone reads your post, they can see what size boat you have. This will make it easy for anyone wanting to locate another boat of the same size as theirs. Look in the column to the left and see how it looks under my location.

Me to guys. I like it, good thinkin :wink PS: I went back and corected this post 3 times...... I love it

I use my boat name for a login name as it seams easier for me to just remember a boat name and an owners name. Adding another fanciful name in there makes just one more thing to remember for me. Got enough stuff to think about as it is. Could a heading in the profiles be added if you want to add your real name? I have added it temporarily under Occupation.

:beer

I am with Mike - I would like to see something like the "Our C-Dorys" page from the MSN site come here, IF the same info cannot be put in the profile. Adding the boat name, length, model, etc., to another field like location is what is known as a "workaround" or "kludge." Those are fine (and necessary) if you can't do something better. I am betting Bill can give us something better (when he gets a Round Tuit).

I agree with Pat & David, DaNag is working on this. Be patient, the "master" site manager is working his fingers to the bone. This site has only been up for a week; look at the awesome things here already!Give the guy a chance to make your head spin...

My head is spinning. Quite possibly could be the gin, but maybe not. Could be the beer. No hurry here. This is shaping up to be quite the site.

Back again. Actually I really like the info that is provided on the left of each post. Here I can see who posted, and all the info that they want me to see. Where they are from, boat size, how many doggies or cats. etc. A mini-profile.

HOW BOUT IT?? (PROFILE PHOTO) I MISSED THAT THE MOST FROM MSN. CAN IT BE DONE?

Trivia fact of the day - David's words here are (almost) the lyrics to one of my favorite little ditties, a tune by the Rovers called "Wasn't That a Party." ("Might have been the whiskey, could have been the gin, might have been the three or four six packs, I don't know, what a state I'm in, but Wasn't That a Party...")

Helen O. HOW DID YOU GET THAT SHAMROCK INTO YOUR NAME AREA LIKE THAT, IT'S COOL! I HAVE A TINY LITTLE PHOTO OF (RF) I WOULD LIKE TO GET INTO MINE....ANYBODY? Greg

Greg

Put your photo into your photo album. Then in your signature type in
b]"your%20photo%20location"%20[b]

You get your photo location from right clicking on the picture and copying it from the "properties"

The short story is that you are typing in the command instead of clicking on the button and having the computer insert it for you

Note: If your picture is already on the internet somewhere you don't have to copy it to your photo album. Just paste location between the [img] commands.

Hope this helps.

It's just to interesting and fun learning this coolo nerd stuff. I always got along the best with them all through my life anyway!.... true :angel

Thnx buddy, now I'm on to see if I can clean up my web link

When you edit your signature in the profile, type in
.

That should do it.

Now I will go remove your boat from mine. Thanks for letting me use it.

Well cripe, Jim. I did have your boat picture in my signature, but it disappeared when I changed my profile back.

It looked like this:

Laurna_Jo.thumb.jpg

You'll get it, Nerd Boy!!

OK - now here's a cool plan. You can edit your profile to include a link to your personal photo album in your signature, like mine below.
It's easy. First, go to your album index page and copy the entire URL from the address bar. Then click on Profile above, find the signature box, and enter (wtih no spaces anywhere in it except as noted):

after it

Then type the text you want to show as the link (you can use spaces in this part)

Then type

That should do it. It's the latest thing in nerdology, and if it doesn't work then ask Bill.
