Patrick and Dave great to hear you are planning on the Friday Harbor gig. It is going to be fun. Thank for posting. AND, looking forward to having you join us on the pre-cruise too. Might be a good thing to leave a note on that thread so we know to look for you at the dock at Deception/Coronet. Be great to see you there on Sunday, or before.

Glad to see some interest in the Pre FH-CBGT trip. We may have a real fleet for that. Here is the link to that thread:

Ahoy Mates !

Let's see if this works, I built and excel sheet to help keep track of who is doing what. Well - I couldn't get that to work - Soo ... cut and paste it is!

Thanks Keith for your work as Activities Coordinator with the event. It is nice to see what is happening, who is responsible for providing what and when it will happen. Thank you for taking charge to keep this event organized on paper.

On a side note, does anyone have experience to share with launching out of the Port of Brownsville? To avoid driving through Seattle, we would take Hwy. 16 across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and then take Hwy. 303 to the town of Brownville. The Port's website says that parking is $5 for launch and retrieval and offers parking spaces for 59 trailer/tow rigs. Just wondering if anyone has information or caution in their experience of using the ramp and/or with long term parking there. We would park there for 2 plus weeks at a time. Thanks.

I have launched out of Brownsville several times. It is a narrow, one lane ramp, and if I remember you want a mid to high tide launch time. The parking is across a street (sort of) that is open, as in no gate or fence, but I never had any problems with leaving the rig there. It is a decent marina with a huge breakwater wall, and a very nice event tent -- even heated. As I remember, the folks were nice to deal with and there is a small store and restaurant there in the same building.

Another parking option would be to drive up to Sequim, park there, and join me for the Pre FH-CBGT Cruise trip, launching at John Wayne Marina and leaving Sequim Bay State Park Thurs or Friday. I have a friend there who has off street parking in a yard at the end of his lane. It is about 5 miles from JW Marina. (There is no long term parking at John Wayne. Anything over 72 hours they get grouchy.

You could either join the pre Pre-Cruise cruise or go across Juan de Fuca on your own.

I got a call from Ryan, from NMI today-- YUP, the guys that build our boats and YES, they are planning to be at Friday Harbor. He is the same Ryan that came last year and said "C-Dory" (actually Northwest Maritime Industries) would pay for the Party Barge rental. Yahoo, they are coming back . . . with stuff (AKA Bling or Swag). Come on, be there and have some good questions for them.

Harvey, thank you for contacting NMI and setting that up. And boat stuff! Who doesn't need more boat stuff?

Daybreak, I haven't launched at Brownsville, but I've stayed there overnight several times over the years. My impression always was positive.

Pat and Patty will be there aboard Daydream, and I will be available for christenings as desired! This usually occurs immediately after the Saturday potluck!

Pat, Thanks for stepping up again and handling the Christening. I'm sure there will be some there who are interested. And, Anyone who is interested in having an "Official" christening, it would be nice if you announce here, and let Pat know so he can plan his evening appropriately

For anyone who is interested in a great parking option for medium to long term, ( so that would be a week and longer), and want to avoid driving through Seattle, I just checked with my friend in Sequim.

"$30 a week, or $100 a month. Transport to or from John Wayne Marina is $10. No in or out on Saturdays." Well off the street, close to town but remote, and no thru traffic, vehicle or walking. He is at the end of a Half mile lane. This is not covered or gated, but should have no problems.

If you are interested, please PM me and I will set up the contact.

Patrick, I am pretty sure we can make that happen. At least we can have all the components together, and then we will let Pat do his magic.

Brock and Harvey, thank you for the information on the launch ramp and parking at the Port of Brownsville. Harvey, the option to park your rig in Sequim and launch there is also tempting.
Last year we parked out rig at Tom and Susan's place (long time C-Brats members) and had a good experience in doing so. They have a prior post offering for people to park their rigs at their place. They are located about 10 miles north of Everett. They charge a very reasonable rate for storage. I will put myself out on a limb here and say that there is no chance that your rig will be messed with at their place. Their storage area is on the south side of their house and they live out in the country. Last year when we got back from our trip, I gave Tom a heads-up that we were coming and without even asking, Tom and Susan brought our rig to us at the Everett boat launch. That was really convenient and a time saver!
We don't like to drive through Seattle, but may do so again this year for parking at Tom and Susan's place. Anyone interested, PM me and I will give you Tom's phone number.

Gary, You are welcome. Timing, tolerance and tenacity make a difference. We will see you in the islands, whichever way you go to get there. And yes, I know Tom has made a nice offer over there too.

I’ll be using this as a starting point for the first leg of my inside passage trip to Ketchikan on the advice of SleepyC. I’m looking forward to meeting you all and learning as much as I can from some experienced C-brats.

1) boat name: Geturah, 22’, 2 people and 1 dog (Joel, Starr, and Switters)
2) 14th-16th
3) no power or water necessary

Joel

Joel, glad you signed-up for the 2020 FHCBGT. Harvey makes a good statement in that the FH gathering is a great jump off point for you to continue your travel up north. There is so much knowledge and wisdom in C-Dory boating experience with those that attend that one should not miss it. We look forward to meeting you in person and to hear your plans for travel up the Inside Passage on 'Geturah'.
Gary and Colleen.

Hello...
As the proud new owner of a Venture 26 I would very much like to attend this year's event at Friday Harbor, Thursday through Saturday. I am looking forward to meeting my fellow C-Dory owners. :).

Oh, water and power would be nice. I believe my wife and my teenage son will also be in attendance. Our boat name is "Stella Blue"

Thank You

George Szeremeta
