Pennant staff for bow rail

I would like to fly the yacht club pennant on the bow rail of Chimo so I tried West Marine for a suitable staff. Nice set up with a ss clamp and staff insert but only available for a 1" rail. Does anyone know of a set up available for 1.1/8?

Many Thanks

Chimo

Google "Tayler Made Bow Railing Burgee mount"
There are some with socket for wooden pole and some which come with SS pole.

Taylor Made Catalogue: http://www.boatcovers.cc/cgi-bin/catalog.pl

Here is one:
Taylor Made® Rail-Mount Flag Pole Socket
Item #986
$24.99
Made from durable T304 stainless steel, this rail-mount flag pole socket adjusts to any angle, and mounts to 7/8" to 1-1/4" rails.
Durable T304 stainless steel construction
Adjusts to any angle
Mounts to 7/8" to 1-1/4" rails
Accepts up to 1.25" diameter poles (It uses wooden poles--ie Teak or Dowell rods)

I believe the SS flag staff is model 971, which also fits up to 1.25" tubing.

That looks interesting. Many thanks. I will have to visualize a 1" pole on the bow rail and then check out the marine store.

Much appreciated!

They make a 1 1/8 inch flagpole socket. I got mine at the Seattle downtown West Marine store a few years ago and saw one in the West Marine down South of Houston. They are very very expensive, but work well.

I put one on the bowrail and another on the aft swimstep handrail. You can see them in Tom-a-Hawk's photo album.
