Hard to believe 2 ships of that size would get so close to each other within the restricted confines of the canal. No space for errors or the unexpected.

I can't see the video on this connection but i'm pretty sure you guys are looking at that recent collision in the suez. It has been speculated that this could have been cause by a steering gear failure causing a left rudder command that could not be removed. As you can see the black exhaust cloud indicating a large load change- probably a crash astern engine command.
