Outboard Tilt handle

If my memory hasn't failed me completely :sad Someone used to make a handle that hooked over the hood on an outboard and you used it as a lever to help tilt the motor. :smileo Does anyone know if they are still available? :smiled Jack

I had one with my old engine. I don't know if I let it go with the old engine, or it is in my basement in Hingham. If I find out, I will let you know. Works great.

If all else fails you could let the motor lift itself. Just start it up, flip the lever that locks it down and put the motor in reverse, turn the throttle until the motor is up enough to finish the job manually. Not sure how safe this is though.

I found a good picture of the one Garelick wants $60.00 for and decided to make one :smileo from some of the odd pieces of S.S. and aluminum that I've been saving for years. Pat is always bugging me about my barrels of junk in the garage. :crook :smiled Jack

:thup Found some SS Tubing and 3/8" aluminum plate in my junk bin. :smileo The hardest part was cutting a 90 out of the plate. :smilep My local Bike shop supplied a handle bar grip. :wink And Wa-La! One "Armstrong" Motor Lift. hoto In Album :smiled Jack
