Outboard motor theft security?

So, what do most of you folks do to prevent theft of an outboard motor on a boat that is either moored or docked in an area where security is marginal? Or, even trailered in your driveway...

Use something like McGard lock nuts (they don't seem to actually stop car wheel thefts, though...must be lots of "master key sets" out there...).

Or, just let the insurance company deal with it afterward?
 
Always store your boat next to something more expensive.... :wink:

I just figure my insurance will cover. Life is short. I don't want to spend too much of it worrying about such things. :beer
 
Go to www.sailorsolutions.com, they have the stazo outboard lock, top rated by practical sailor. We have it, and our honda 15 auxillary on our boat.

The Stazo products are impressive, though expensive.
