...or the next installment of "Ask Dr. Bob!"

The raw water washdown pump works fine, no issue. We wanted to wash down the mud on the bow after pulling crab pots, so we connected up our connector with the curly white hose attached (came with the system). Water came out of that. We connected a longer hose, and no water came out. When we pulled the connector out of the socket, a bunch of parts fell out of either the connector or the socket that we THINK are somehow all part of the system, but for the life of us (and Jan too), we cannot see how those parts go back together. But if not, there is not explanation where they came from. Push comes to shove I will try using it at Powell without the mystery parts, which are two little plastic dealie-bobs and a spring. The thing that makes us think the two plastic parts are part of the system is the color of the plastic, as should be obvious from the photo. But try as we may, there is no way these three things seem to go into either end of the big connector piece or the socket or the curly hose...anybody really good at puzzles?

Dang it, Pat, if it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have no luck at all
just kidding :)

Thank you, Mike. The video was just what we needed to see. Mystery solved.

Brent, kidding or not, it is TRUE!

Today we will put the Jabsco fresh water pump back in and hope it works. Yesterday we emptied the water tank (which is in a completely idiotic place, sealed in forever under the veeberth fiberglass) using a little Home Depot drill end pump, and sanitized and sweetened the tank with baking soda. We pumped into two gallon buckets, and by golly the tank emptied pretty much when the 10th bucket was full each time. This little pump cost $10 and works great. Today one more flush with fresh water.
