We are swinging on the hook here at Blind Bay off Shaw Island. We owe a lot to Bill and El for teaching us the joys of anchoring!

We are living vicariously through you tonight.

We were in Blind Bay last summer and caught a few meteors around 2 am, as well as a clear view of the Milky Way. We're thinking about heading back there for the Perseid Meteor shower in August. Peak is the weekend of Aug 12-13, but the gibbous moon may dim the show somewhat. So, maybe the weekend of Aug 5-6 would be better. All weather-dependent, of course. No show if it's overcast!

Looking forward to catching up with you at FH this weekend.

Glad you so enjoy anchoring, Pat and Patty. We will be "anchored" in Narragansett Bay, RI next week in a small shoreside cottage -- transitioned ashore now, we still enjoy being close to the water.

We head out on a small commercial vessel for a few weeks this summer along the coast of the French Riviera.

Russ and Toni will be joining us here at Blind Bay later this morning on Traveler for another night here! They say this is Traveler's last journey north. It is for sale, but they are not done boating! Their "other" boat is an Osprey, and Russ wants to get something larger, something with a stateroom! I hope to get down to Chinook (right across the Columbia from Astoria) for some fishing!
