Marty, you're a genius. Diana and I are going to take our aluminum boat up to the high lakes for a day or two, so I am getting it ready to go.

The engine (BF 15)had been drained of fuel in the carbs, so I was anticipating a hell of a fight getting it going. Following Marty's advice, I spoke nicely to it, gently grasped the tiller, and with care and concern depressed the start button. A crank or two from the starter, and it fired right off.

Post Script: I bet if it would have been a manual start, I would still be pulling on the blasted rope.
 
Anyone who has ever met Marty will tell you that he approaches everything in life with that same calm, compassionate and wise manner. He is a true gentleman and a truly good guy. He's one of my heroes.
 
Well, I just read this to my daughter. She rolled her eyes and said, sarcastically, "yeah, right ..."
