OT: Kayaking Lake Powell

I've been thinking about an unsupported kayak tour of Powell, probably out of Bullfrog, with hiking and exploring as the main theme (would have to fish a bit, too). We have both double and singles touring kayaks and I am not sure that Diana wants to go, so it could be a trip with either.

Anyone interested? Have any of the brats done that? I am thinking a 2014 spring or October trip.

Kayaking using a houseboat as a mother ship is fun also. I've done it but I can't offhand find the photos.
