Now I REALLY Need Help Quickly - Trailer Brakes

Dropped the boat off at Les Schwab this morning, just got a call, the brakes are metal to metal - and they don't service trailer brakes and they don't know who does. Insult to injury, Les Schwab won't repack the bearings with the brakes like that. Called King Saltwater Trailers - you think you can talk to a real person there? Guess again. I know they are wholesale only but you ought to be able to talk to somebody who can tell you who can service their product, or have a list on their web site.

So...are we screwed? Our vacation seems toast to me right at this moment and I know I am not handling it very gracefully...

Anybody know anywhere I can call to see if we can get the trailer brakes fixed and the bearings repacked?

Try calling King Salmon Marine in Tacoma. They sell King trailers and
should be able to direct you to someone in your area. Phone is 866-
427-6252. Good luck with your vacation.

Well, shortly after posting, a little Googling turned up Mann's Hitch and Trailer in Bellevue. He said bring it right in, so I did. Just go back from dropping it off, he said it will be done either today around closing time or tomorrow morning, depending on how soon he can get the parts. So I am once again hopeful we will be on the road tomorrow. Thanks to all who responded!
 
good to here you got it fixed, another good place to get work done is glenns welding in lynnwood, they do all kinds of trailers, and do a great job, thay specailize in trailers, but have a shop that will do any custom work too, i just had them weld my custom fuel tanks for me and they turned out awsome. ask for tony....
 
No offense, but why don't you learn to do this yourself? It isn't hard to do.
 
Kent, mechanical things come easier to some folks than others.

If you call King's 800 number and press 6 after the initial message you can leave your name and number and they'll call back with dealer information; you can also reach them via email on their web site for that same info.

There are typically only 2 or 3 folks in the office and a couple of them are often either in the shop or on the road so there aren't a lot of folks grabbing phones.

Also (and I know this isn't a business sounding situation but it's a small company) they just suffered the death (unexpected) of the fellow that ran the company and they're trying hard to deal with it; not only in terms of workload but emotionally as well.
