Trying to get ready for spring launch. Kept both batteries (2 yr old) on trickle chg all winter. Voltage test showed 13+ in each. Installed batteries and lowered engine to begin clean up. When I tried to raise engine again, all power gone ... actually no power to anything on the boat! Checked all fuses on the boat and engine (honda 90) .... all appear OK.

Took out battery switch and checked all wiring .... all appear ok. Switch is new last summer, boat is an 08 22 Angler. No clue where to look next! Plan to pull the batteries and take them to be tested ... but would be very odd for both to go totally bad in one instant.

Looking for suggestions on where to look for the problem. Anyone with a suggestion is asked to post it here or Email me direct at rmp1848@aol.com
 
Well, what was the battery voltage? At the battery terminal posts? If you've got voltage at the battery (ies?), just check the connections, as the man said, ground first.
 
You have a short or a fuse trip - as Charlie mentioned possibly a disconnected ground or a corroded wire connection.

It's amazing how simple these fixes can (sometimes) be. I had the same experience on a former boat - all was fine the day before them boom - no juice the next morning. I pulled the engine cover and found one single ground wire that came off the engine. 5 minutes later with a quick repair full juice.

Good luck though - sometimes it's needle in a haystack.
 
Even something as simple as dirty connectors may be the culprit. (That was the case on my 5th wheel two years ago.) Use sandpaper to shine up the copper connectors.
 
When my boat was two years old I had a similar problem with my Perko battery switch. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I cut apart the switch with a hacksaw to inspect it. I expected to find burnt or corroded contacts. The contacts were in new condition. The only thing I could figure out is sometimes the switch couldn't make contact due to not turning far enough or possibly some sort of debris on the contact that produced a little air gap. The switch work about 50 % of the time. Once the switch had been cut apart, it worked 100% of the time. Never figured out why it was bad at times.
 
Look for a blue seas systems breaker near the batteries that looks like this . There is a bar that pops down [or out]diagonally if it is tripped .You can test it with the red button as well .

Sounds like you measured it immediately after disconnecting the charger - perhaps even with the charger connected. If you unplug the charger and wait a couple of hours, a typical "resting voltage" for a 12v battery is 12.7 to 12.8 volts.
As others have said, it's seems most likely to be a poor electrical connection.
