We left town at 7pm launched at 8pm tied to the dock at james isand, only one other boat here. Walked over the island to watch the ferry go by right after dusk. Smooth water no swell or wind.. love it.
 
Are those pesky raccoons still there? They drove my lab crazy and were fearless...

Good Morning Mark,
James Island is across the straits from Washington Park (Anacortes). Don't know if there is also a James Island on the coast. Then of course Jones Island is between Orcas and San Juan Island.

Speaking of possible duplicate island names there is a Hat Island North of the Twin Bridges leading to Anacortes and the Hat Island out of Everett although again as you know is also Gedney Island.

(So many islands to cruise about and so little time....gotta love Western Washington State!)
 
Googled it. There is a James Island off of La Push, which is what confused me. Never been to James Island. And yes...so little time. Back to work on Monday after one week home sick. :roll:

Raccons craweled under the canvas, open the ice chest and stole a bag of grapes. Woke me up twice. The second time I turned on th rear deck flood light from the helm and all hellbroke broke loose. Need video cameras.
 
Hey Tom, what did your dog (Shadow?) think of the raccoons? Ours (Brody) pretends to be sleeping when they come aboard. Then when I head for the door to scare them off I'd swear he's smiling.

Shadow would love to get them but susan will not let me release the hound. He growles and barks a little. I have apaint ball gun for seals . guess I need to load some varmit paint rounds.. freeze em first, hurts more.
Tonigth we are in Friday harbor. Place is vacant. No crowds in town and space at the dock.

My. Brother pat, sister inlaw, nephew and his wife all drove up today for whale watching. We had to run across the border but we got to follow L pod back in to the islands. Lots of jumpsa tial slaps etc. With the whales for hours. Back to Friday for the night.. great smooth water today
