Newbie help near Whidbey?

Hi, my wife and I moved to Whidbey Island in 2012 and started looking at what boat would be a good match for Puget Sound and North.

Early on C-Dory's caught our eye and became the ideal - this Friday (mid July 2016) we will finally be owners of a 2006 CD22.

We are complete boating novices, so this is an exciting and bit scary moment in time.

We are doing the BoatUS "WA Boating Safety Course", but would really like to have an experienced boater (C-Brat if possible) walk us through launch, docking, recovery and features specific to the CD22.

Anyone nearby available for a few hours to help get us started safely ?

Mark, this may be too late, as I can imagine you REALLY WANNA GET BOATING!! But we will be up at Cornet/Bowman Bay for some camping in a little less than a month. We are taking our boat. I am still a working man, so I won't be on the water until Saturday, out of Everett.
