Hi All,

I've just purchased a well loved C-dory 22 Angler (Pescadory from Monterey) and brought her up to her now home in Anacortes.

I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful resource that you have here and let you know that I hope to see some of you on the water in the San Juan's this summer.

First step adding a permatrim....

Second step getting that accent trim back to snuff...

Third step...heading to the cabin at crane island!

Welcome to the C-Brats. Nice new to you boat. It'll shine great...just add elbow grease. Will be looking for you around Crane. I have friends who have a cabin on Shaw, just across the water from your island, and I usually get up there a couple times a season. Will we be seeing you at Friday Harbor CBGT in May? It is worth the weekend and then some.

Boris, Crane Island is between the NW end of Shaw Island and Deer Harbor on Orcas Island in the San Juan's.

Don't sweat it, Boris - there are 172 islands in the San Juan archipelago... yes, guests on the whale watch boats will occasionally ask if I know the name of each island... "Let's save that question for one of your naturalists." If you have cruised through the Wasp Islands, and between NW Shaw and SW Orcas, you have passed by Crane Island.

Best wishes,
Jim

That shows how smart I am. I flunked that test.

Hey, It wasn't a test, it was a question. I spend several trips in the San Juan's every summer, and I don't know half, or more likely 1/10th of the Islands up there. Only because my friends cabin is right across the passage, (I think it is Wasp Pass,) from Crane that I recognized the name.

I Will definitely look out for you as our house is right in the wasp passage (just after the low tide rocks between crane and bell island). If you see our boat on our dock feel free to stop by! We always keep the beer and wine cold.

As for the May meetup, I'm hoping to make it, but still coordinating schedules with my wife (we just got married and I'm trying to set up good habits early.)

Thanks for the invite, AND Congratulations. A good time to start traditions...., Make it one, for both of you.

I have seen a few C-Dory's in the area, and probably look like some sort of idiot going in circles by the dock or mooring ball, looking for someone to wave at  8)
