I know this has been mentioned at least once before. My experience was not so great. When I logged on today, my ad was from First Mates.com...not the boat crew type. I'm the only person that uses this computer and don't go to sites like that. I have been faithfully married for 18 years, have two sons, ages are 8 & 9. I don't know if this thing can be turned off but, I, for one DO NOT LIKE IT! I should'nt have to hide in the dark while visiting The C-Brats, afraid my kids might be exposed to something inappropriate. How do the rest of you feel?

Ads like you saw shouldn't be popping up. A few days after setting up the Google Ads, I disabled any category of ads that wasn't clearly family friendly:

This is the first report I've heard since then of questionable content. However, I visited both "firstmate.com" and "firstmates.com" and neither are dating/adult sites...so I'm not sure exactly what popped up for you.

Regardless - please don't hesitate to provide feedback here, giving as much detail as possible so I can address it. Neither Mike nor I want such ads, and if it becomes commonplace we'll dump the Google Ads like a hot rock.

Jon, did you look at the website, or just see the title? Was there a picture of some sort? When I go to firstmate.com, I find pet food, not smut...

Did not enter. Should have copied the address but, did'nt. I believe the name of the site (not the addy) was first1mate. Had a vertical column with maybe six different "women in my area" that would like to meet. They all had shirts on but, there was plenty of cleavage.

FYI, Google Ads NEVER display adult content.

Kevin, I never said it was porn. It is, however, in my opinion adult. If I'am misinterpreting your' "FYI", spell it out for me. I know what I saw.
