New Owners

Hey all,

Just thought I'd let y'all know you've got a couple of new C-Dory owners amongst you. Dusty (my dad) and I drove to Portland on Sunday and purchased a 1984 C-Dory 22 Classic Angler.

It's going to be fun bringing this boat back to her former glory. She's got good "bones" and really is in good condition but she's been earning her keep as a fishing boat (up to 70 miles off the Oregon coast) and needs some good scrubbing and TLC to get her looking more "yachty" (in other words, I want my wife to come aboard!).

Congratulations Les. If you have any questions about C-Dory, just ask. I'm sure I can help. Why do I feel better knowing you own a C-Dory?

Hey Les,

We were in Cornet Bay last Monday morning at the marina getting gas. I thought we saw Net Fun somewhere, was it at the marina or maybe on your lot? We walked through but of course you guys were closed.

Congrats on the new to you boat!

Hey Les, If you need help in deciding between single or twins just let me know. I will sleep better knowing Dusty may be afloat somewhere. Best wishes. Mark

Hey Les, Welcome to the club. By the way, you know you didn't just get a boat, you got a whole family :smile . Glad to know you're not jumping ship. Do hope we can cross wakes with you sometime soon.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! :thup

I do have an affinity for the early CD22 Classics; they just seem to do everything I want and they're a good balance for our family needs between finding enough room for all the stuff for fishing, crabbing, and shrimping for Dusty and me, and enough room for Shelley and me (and the two Blue Heelers) to spend weekends aboard.

Simple boat for a simple operator...what more could I ask for? (Other than the C-120 system, the radar, the new hydraulic steering, the S-1000 autopilot, the camper canvas, and a few other simple goodies!)

Les, you are way too modest! What a fantastic treasure you have to spend these quality times with a super dad...Dusty! He taught you so well!

You two have the ability to make all of us smile from ear to ear!

Congratulations on your new acquisition!

Hello to all
Just purchased a 06 CC with 40 hrs on it - sweet boat -not a scratch -anyway leaving on sat in the dismal swamp at I-64 - looking to do some fishing on my way to Wilmington - I've left 2 weeks for the 280 mi trip - don't want to be in a hurry - anybody have any experience with this route - what can you catch in the DSC and how do you fish.
Thanks in advance

Exactly how many C-Dorys have you owned Dusty? Isn't there a law against too much of a good thing? Geez, that's like owning more than one Cummins powered Dodge!

By the way Les, how's the bus?

Dave,

Dunno how many! Ran out of fingers and toes. Skagit Orca, Tomcat, 3 new 22's, 4 used 22's... If they were cars I'd need a garage as big as DaNag's Fresh Water Bay mansion. Would you call this some kind of disease? Shux, at least we're down-sizing. Fell in love with Fred's "Lil Buddy" and should never have let her go. When Les gets through with NetFun she'll be another Lil Buddy.

I'm fearless (yeah, sure), but I can't imagine taking this little 22 57 miles out in the ocean looking for Tuna. :thdown

Dusty
