I am in the process of purchasing a 2007 CD22 cruiser from Marc and Charlie of Wefing's Marine (Eastpoint, Fl). They have been great to work with and Marc is from my old Socal stomping grounds. Who would imagine bumping into a socal guy in little ole Apalachicola. Pat (Byrdman) added some inspirational insight into my first C-Dory purchase.

My wife became attached to the stern seat of the CD25 (she liked the phonebooth too); however, the pocketbook pointed us back towards the 22 cruiser.
We are picking Ashley Lynn up April 30th.....it seems such a long way away. :smiled

Welcome to the group. Not only C-Dory but purchasing your boat through Wefings. Numbers are growing. What part of the Pan handle? Not close but still neighbors. Hope to see ya.

We have a fair number of the C Dory family in the Western Pan Handle area now. We will have to have a just the pan handle cruise!

The C Dory is an ideal boat for this area.
 
As soon as Da Nag Bill has his coffee he will set up your album. You'll know it's ready when the 'Ashley Lynn' turns blue. Then just click on it and follow the directions for adding photos. Very simple. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
 
Bob & Nancy: Great to see yall getting on board. It was great to hear you selected the CD22, and paid attention to your budgets and not just your hearts on the boat selections. I know of several folks who have gotten in over their financial heads on boats only to not be able to afford to really use them and enjoy them. The CD 22 is one awesome boat that yall should get some wonderful use and quality life out of. Part of boating enjoyment for me is attempting to be as comfortable as possible when on the boat. Now some of my great friends from the state of Akansas, Bill and Brenda Russell on Falcon had purchased one of the gold colored solar water/shower bags that worked great for them on our Cumberland River cruise once we got up river away from civilization and any type of facilities. Looked to be a great set up, particuarly for washing off salt waters at the end of the day and getting cleaned up.

BOB....I like your idea of a Panhandle Cruise for sure. Maybe we can work out a slow ....Bob I said SLOW... week long cruise with a gathering on each weekend of the week. This way, those of us who can travel, can see a bit of the area after towning each way about 10 hours.... and enjoy 2 weekend type gatherings for those who can only make a Fri-Sun gig at two differant locations....???

Maybe we can put together some type of Lake Martin gig in the Nov/Dec time frame??? About a 4-5 hour tow up from the coast...and some great cooler fresh water fun....or.... go get ya some water noodles....and we can do it mid summer....

Hey Joel. Some of that green frog stuff.... Actually, it was my Father's middle name. Means warrior. Thought it fitting for my next boat that is for sure to be a warrior always ready on the waters... which is where my Father and I had many of our best times. Damn I miss him and never get on the water without finding myself looking over my sholder for him.

Joel and Pat - the original name is from German and was a common name back in the Middle Ages. The latinized version is Louis, and 16 kings of England had that name -- and now, a few C-Brats.

Welcome aboard this talkative group, Bob and Nancy -- you'll love the boat (and maybe the Brats that own them).
 
Thank you all for all your advice, support, and enthusiasm. Nancy and I look forward to many adventures on Ashley Lynn and maybe we might cross paths with some of the brats.

Ashley Lynn – if you want a photo album, it would be a good idea to PM Bill or Mike. They have real jobs and do not allways monitor all post or threads so may not notice that you want a photo album.
