New CD22 Angler - good idea?

I made good progress on the boss today. She gave me the go ahead to proceed!!!! I'm excited about that obviously, but still a bit concerned about the port side cabin seat option. I plan to call C-Dory tomorrow and request a drawing since I cant find any pictures.

Im looking at various rigging options. Is there enough room above the helm station for a Garmin 1040xs?

I want a big screen so I can see it easily from the cockpit but without obstructing my view when steering. I could get away with 8' screen but I'd like radar and think the biggest screen would be best.

The computer I use there measures 11.5"x7" but is less than 1/2" thick. I mount it with a suction cup mount from RAM. I'm not sure how much bigger the Garmin unit is but here is a photo of my setup.

I don't think there is any difference in that area from the 22 Angler to the Cruiser, so here is a photo of Harvey's "Sleepy C," a 22 Cruiser. If I remember correctly, that's a Raymarine 120, which is pretty big (if it is indeed a 120, then Raymarine give the dimensions as 14" x 10" x 4.31". I think I would find this too large (not the screen of course, but I mean just the overall feel and fit in front of the window), but I know Harvey really likes it, so that depends on the person. But it does fit there, and I thought seeing these shots might help you to visualize what you have in mind.

Thanks - very helpful.

I love the shot with radar on. The Garmin is 14x9x3. Maybe I can push it back toward the window an inch or more.

You'll love the angler! I would suggest having the factory install a " hard back" with a bulkhead and cabin door. It will constrain your access a bit but worth it in terms of cabin noise, comfort, and security. Good luck!
