New C-Ranger 25

I took delivery yesterday on my new C-Ranger 25. This is hull 14 with a blue hull, 125 hp Yanmar (probably one of the last - I thought I was going to get a 110), and most of the bells and whistles. Everything seems to work fine so far. The Wallas took about 15 minutes to suck the fuel from the tank and get started, but patience was rewarded. I couldn't be happier. The only bummer is the weather: freezing temperatures and snow forecast for the next few days, but I hope to get back on the water this weekend.

Dan,

Congratulations.
What a great boat. I had a chance to test drive hull #7.
It is a lot of boat for her size.
Here is wishing you hours and hours of enjoyment.

How exciting! Congratulations and welcome aboard, Dan. It will be interesting to see some photos of that beautiful boat and hear how you are using her (when the weather breaks). Did you get a trailer with the boat? I'd be heading for warmer waters at 60 mph to splash her.

The high today is supposed to be 72º, sunny, breezy. I'm taking a friend out sailing today, then the catboat is coming out of the water to go under her cover. Looking foward to heading to the Keys soon with Wild Blue. That C-Ranger would look mighty fine in those turquiose waters. 8)

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Congratulations Dan,
I, and others, will be looking forward to your posts on the performance of your new boat and the enjoyment it is sure to bring.

Dan. Congratulations on receiving your new R-25. I took delivery of hull # 10 just before Thanksgiving and have enjoyed using it immensely. Mine is also blue with a 125 HP Yanmar. Only had it out on the Sound a few times because of the weather, but what fun it was. Nice to have another C-Ranger R-25 owner on board.

Hey Dan.... hook er up and come on down...to Southern California... the weather here is not super everyday....but most days it is good...you can get a slip in Santa Barbara for a week or two for about $15 a day...in their beautiful marina... and the islands are just offshore ... perfect for you to get some good time underway.... You can even stay with us if you don't want to stay aboard... or heck...I might join you with SEA3PO...

It''s winter rates at Catalina this time of year...Two Harbors would be nice for a week or 10 days..

Congratulations on your new boat Dan. It is a good thing you did not listen to a few of the people here trashing the R-25 last year, because you may not have gotten it. I agree with you, it is a good-looking boat and should bring you a lifetime of enjoyment.

Someday I hope we cross paths in the Columbia or Sound.

Congrats Dan on your new boat! I'll definitely be on the lookout for you when I'm on the Columbia.

Waiting for weather so I can head out again.

Dan,

Congratulations on your new tug!! :D Dee and I saw one a couple of weeks ago in Fife. She sure is a salty looking tug. Will you be using it on the Willamette and Columbia? Trailer launch or moor? The Knotty C is moored at Steamboat Landing by the I 205 bridge on the Columbia. We are talking about doing some fishing or maybe an overnighter this weekend. We hope to see you sometime on the river.

Don

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Lizzie G is moored at Jantzen Bay (across from Safeway on Hayden Island) on the Columbia River. I plan to cruise mainly on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, but will eventually get up to the San Juan and Gulf Islands. I still have another 5 years or so before I can retire (got to get the kids out of college), so boat time is unfortunately limited now. Don, I'm sure we'll see each other on the river.

Dan,

I'm at Tomahawk Island Marina just upstream from you. What slip are you in at Hayden...I'd love to get a peek at your boat this weekend when I get out on the water.

Chuck

I saw a new 25' C-Ranger yesterday here in Anchorage. It was already sold when it got here. What a beautiful boat. This one was loaded up with almost all options including 2 thrusters and 110 engine on a trailer for $137k. Good deal??
I went inside to look it over. Excellent quality and good design. It was 3F outside so did not look long.
