My Wallas stove

Help:
I've lost the manual for our Wallas ceramic stove and can't find any reference material anywhere on the Internet. I couldn't get it started at the end of last season after not using it for a year. I remember something about thinning the fuel; it says in the manual how much and with what. (Isopropyl alcohol?) Perhaps I should replace the old fuel? (It's been there since 2002) Was it Methyl Hydrate? Also, if someone can remind me of the lighting sequence, I would be grateful. (and I'll write it down!)
Cheers and thanks

Hi Sharon, I've been grappling with my Wallas(100X- Kerosene) for almost 15 years and can safely say, dump the fuel. Karl at Scan says 3 months max. You can get 99% Isopropyl Alchohol at Safeway for a buck. Don't use 70% ! Run it through for ten minutes. If that doesn't work I suggest you disassemble your stove, clean it, blow out the fuel line, and replace your wick. Take some digital pictures as you dis-assemble to clarify re-assembly.

Thanks so much, Pete; I'll definitely dump the old fuel. Is it kerosene? I thought it was something else...
Nice to see pics of your boat.

Is it kerosene?
My stove is 15 years old and is kerosene only, no diesel. I'm actually using Klean-Strip deodorized mineral spirits. I've tried everything and I like it the best. I believe the newer stoves can use diesel or kerosene(or mineral spirits).

Pete: Thanks so much for your help--we spent last night on the boat and got the stove up and running-- We cooked bacon and eggs this morning.
