so we are going to a concert in june to quest field in seattle. we were looking at hotels and a lot of the ones we wanted to stay at are booked up for the night we are looking for.
so this weekend we thought why not take the boat run across the sound to seattle and just stay on boat and make a weekend out of it. but I have no clue what marinas are around or near walking distance to quest field? if anyone has some info on this I would greatly appreciate it!

For a starter, look at Bell Harbor Marina.

Bell Harbor is your best bet. It's a fantastic marina...clean, well run, great location. The walk to Century Link Field is probably about 1.5 miles, mostly right along the waterfront. If that's too far, you can always take a cab or bus.

you're thinking exactly like us, Jake. I am leaning towards Foss in Tacoma for the same reason, I've been wondering where I'll stay in Seattle.

thank you I will look into bell harbor...

much appreciated!

so checked out bell harbor and the harbor master said they booked up the day tickets were released. so that would of been a good option for next time.
we are not opposed to staying in bainbridge or kingston either but I do not believe there is guest moorage around seattle that i can leave boat for 6 hours or so? thanks for the info and that looks like the only harbor close.

Elliot Bay and Shilshole are both a little far for walking but public transportation is always an option:

probably like a $15 or $20 taxi to Elliot.

Elliott Bay Marina is further north than Bell Harbor but much larger. I suspect you could get space there. You'd probably want to take a bus or taxi to Century Link Field from there.

Fishermen's Terminal is on the freshwater side of the locks, but is another option. Again, bus or taxi to Century Link is the best bet.

Winslow, on Bainbridge Island, is another possibility. Eagle Harbor Waterfront Park, Harbour Marina, Winslow Wharf Marina, and Eagle Harbor Marina are your options. Walking from the ferry to Century Link is easy.

Seems to me that Elliott Bay Marina offers some type of transportation to downtown Seattle. Unsure of cost. Give them a call.

SoundTransit tries to take some of the uncertainty out of mass transit in an unfamiliar locale: http://www.soundtransit.org/
Enter your point of origin and your destination, and get specific info on how many blocks to walk in which direction to catch the best route, where to transfer, etc. I think it even includes the fare info. We've enjoyed doing this on visits to Bell Harbor. It sort of completes the urban experience!

I just "googled" the Elliott Bay Marina web site and see that they advertise "Free Limousine" service.

thanks I will call them shilshole marina has room so at best we will go there calling elliotts now

so elliott wont take a reservation for a boat my size but guarantee a spot that day just to call the day before. thanks for the info. will check out the shuttle service also.

I spent a number of years moored at Elliott Bay Marina. It is a great spot and offers the best of Seattle, in Seattle. Enjoy the weekend.
