Momma Byrd in hospital

I spoke with Mike Byrd (Gypsy) tonight and he asked me to post a quick note to everyone since his internet access isn't working. Mike and Patrick's mother has been in the hospital for a bit now battling a nasty virus that really knocked her for a loop. She's getting better slowly, and tomorrow should start eating soft foods. With luck, we're hoping she'll be home in a few days.

Momma Byrd sends her thanks to all who have sent their get well wishes to her through emails and PM's to the Byrdmen and through phone calls. Being in the hospital sucks, and being there at Christmas REALLY sucks.

This is Terrible !!! Gotta get er well before the party starts in Seattle...heck she is one of the major reason some of us are going...Those who don't know Mamma Byrd are in fer a real treat..
When ya hear all the crazy things Pat n Mike come up with ya know where it all started....Yep.. What they say about the acorn not falling so far from da tree is true... What a Great person...

Our thoughts are with her..

I called the Byrd residence thinking I was calling Mike's number but it was not his. It just so happened to be Momma B's number and low and behold, if Momma didn't answer. she had only been home about a hour or so and she is feeling better. she is slowly geting her strength back and all.
it is wonderful to find her home and out of the hospital

momma byrd IS at home :D and resting. we got her home dec. 27th and you could have melted the ice cap with her smile to be at HER home! :D all the prayers, thoughts and well wishes are so much appreciated. mom had a rough time dealing with not having Christmas at her house with the family, which some of you have met in bits and peices but not all at once, and having instead to spend Christmas eve with just me and her in a hospital room. my brother , john and his wife and son came by for a while but that was no match for the 30 to 40 people ussually at her home on Christmas Eve :love :hug2 :lol: :beer :cocktail :gift :love :xlol . thanks once again for ya'll,and sorry about the delay in answering but the wife's side of the family started where mom left off! too much to go into here.

WOW... Many thanks to all yall for your prayers, emails, PMs, and phone calls. Talked with Momma this afternoon just after getting back on land. She tiered up a bit when I printed the many, many emails from many of yall, and even some folks that work with yall. I appreciate you adding her to your prayer list for this tuff time for this tuff little Lady. Your prayers were heart felt. She again asked to be sure I thanked yall as soon as I was able to get back online. ...and, I can tell she is gaining her strength and humor back after a few days at home....when she said most more than likely realize she always needs prayers in an attempt to keep our family crowd in order... it was great to hear her joking again.

Those emails and prayers were for sure to date the largest Blessing our family has received from Christmas...and Mom said today, yep, getting some healthy foods in me instead of all that $hit at the hospital, and for sure looking forward to our Seattle trip to see some more of the C-Dory friends and family....some again since they have docked at her home for gathierings...others for the 1st time.

Glad to see ya back and hope our team does well !!
Glad to see Momma is still planning on Seattle. Talk to ya when you and Sherryl get back.
