Marriage traditions that sometimes work.

Ever since we met, Mary and I have gone out on a Friday "date." Dinner at the minimum. We've only missed a few dozen Fridays since 1981, either because one of us was out of town or one of us was sick. As the years passed, we've aged and habits changed, so it's become more of an expansive lunch rather than the traditional late dinner but it's still our favorite day of the week.

Since I'm known to be a bit frugal, Mary cornered me yesterday and said "I want to go somewhere expensive this time."

I took her to a gas station.

Don,

You under-water guys are known to be frugal! But that's a good one. If you really want a fuel shock - my old 85' Lamplighter took 2100 gals. of #2 diesel for a fill up. Whew!

Long time no post -- too busy cleaning shrimp.

I began to worry that you'd gotten Mad Cow Disease like Denny Crane, so thanks for popping by and reassuring us youngsters that you're still around making life miserable for the shrimps of the world. If you stick around I promise, no more short jokes, Dusty.

I faithfully watched every episode of History Channel's "Battle 360" but didn't see you in the air, on the water, or being dragged aboard a submarine, so I guess you never graced the decks of the Enterprise for more than a short visit? Oops, forgive me - - - for more than temporary duty?

Missed ya. :beer :beer

Don

Yeah, us guys on the Right Coast missed you too! :love :beer

Glad to see you're still fishing! (We need a "fish" emoticon - Nerds take note!)

Hey, as you well know, Mary's Ukrainian so over the years I've also been to a few expensive Ukrainian restaurants that would qualify as gas stations....

Miss you guys. Give Patty and Baxter a hug for me.

Don

I looked and looked for Dusty last weekend at Friday, finally gave up Sunday. Good to hear you're getting out and about, Les.

I'll keep looking! I hope you're well, friend.
