This article caught my eye in the latest issue of Seapower Magazine (Navy League Publication). If it does all it says, it'll be a very interesting and informative website.

I have registered using my work as a justification for entry, not sure it'll be enough but I'm sure some of you folks with commercial interests in shipping/maritime stuff could get access. I'll let you know if I make the cut.

I just registered as a USCG Aux member. Takes 48 hours for a reply.
 
David, have you heard anything from the Maritime Administration? Maybe I didn't make the cut....

Haven't heard a word other than the initial response that it will take 48 hours.
 
Funny, just 15 minutes after I posted the other post I received my password for using Marview.
 
Yeah, mine came in at 11:45PM EDT.

There's an awful lot of info on that site. Lots of links to AIS info too. Fascinating to watch ships go in/out of the Solent in the UK.

Thought I would try my luck at gaining access based on my 6 pack application to ferry Kayaks and clients in Prince William Sound, but having trouble accessing the web site.
