So what is the difference between a PH 1 marine head and PH 2 marine head. Susan clogged our with tp so I have it out of the boat and need to order a rebuild kit. Replace the joker valve, inlet valve body and maybe the plunger piston and air valve assembly. I can order parts of the PH2 but not PH1 and no one an tell me if there is a difference or not.... Anyone Anyone Buller....

I don't know sh*t about it. :)

It may be time to go with a composting head. We put an Airhead in our boat and it is wonderful. Upfront cost, yes, but simplicity and convenience. No more planning for a pump out or looking for one. Also, no parts to buy.

I’m with Patrick and Kim Walker about this. My Airhead is simple to maintain, no hoses to permeate, no pumps to fail, no holding tank that requires frequent pump out at uncertain locations. Best of all there is zero odor in the boat at all times.

After consulting my doctor, Dr Bob that is, I learned that there is not difference between the two as far as internal parts and seals. the ph1 is all manual and the ph2 is electric flush. so Now to order parts.

Just replaced the septic system with an Airhead, delighted so far. Zero smell, even if the #2 container is TOTALLY OPEN. You'll never have that with a conventional system, and it frees up cabinet space without the pump, diverter valve and plumbing.
