Magellen GPS

I have a Magellen GPS for the car and the touch screen will freeze up. I have twice called Magellen customer service to get it repaired.

Magellen uses off shore personal to man their phones. It is very frustrating becauce the people that answer do not speak good or clear english. I was on the phone Friday for over 3 hours trying to get this resolved. Finally, I was able to get the repair senter address I needed.

Their customer service is terrible, I will NEVER buy another Magellen product. :thdown :crook :thdown

I need a ride on my C-Cory to de-stress! :crook

I feel your pain! About 3 years ago, I said/did exactly the same thing with Dell computers, only the period on the phone was 5 hours between 2 calls. I even sent pictures, but they had no clue of response, because all they have is a reference manual....no computer parts to look at, no experience and apparently no pictures in those manuals! -- and there's a language barrier.

I believe they've figured out they were losing their customer base and have since "brought support home." Even I, who've never sold anything for a living, know that repeat customers are your best customers! (Those who've read any of my sagas with my 3rd Ford also can guess my next tow rig will NOT be a Ford!)

Pssst C-Dory Marine, are you listening?

Caty,

I dealt with Dell 2 years ago, and while they were slow to answer the phone (about 35 minutes) they quickly sent me a new monitor with no questions asked and a box to return the faulty one. I will gladly deal with Dell again on my next monitor/computer purchase. I don't typically use them for computers as I typically build my own from parts.

I call Dell all the time because of our systems. I have never waited more than two minutes for a technician and if it is a hardware issue, I usually have a replacement part within four hours. But then we are considered a major buyer of their systems.
