I'm thinking you start the download of the file before going to bed tonight and hope it will be done when sometime tomorrow. I had the download running at work today from about 11:30 to 4:00 pm and it only downloaded about 60% . I gave up and will try again tonight on the home confuser.
You did better than me. It ran for about an hour and a half and then kick me out I got to 54%. I am going to try tonight also lets hope not to many other people do the same.
I've only had my boat (ranger tug 21-ec) and the electronics for a couple weeks now, but the 4.0 upgrade was definitely an improvement on my hds-8. I updated last weekend and the process was essentially painless. Plotter redraw when zooming is MUCH snappier. No problems with it talking to the br-24 radar or the lss-1 sidescan.
It took me three tries to download. It bombed out in my late night try but downloaded in 30 minutes at 5:00AM to day. I'll up grade the GPS and sit in the Dory in the drive way with the manual and learn how to use the GPS/sounder. A good thing to do on a rainy Day.
I am going to get a chartplotter for my little boat. I want as big as I can with an internal antenna that will fit on the dash. The HDS 8 or 10 is on the list. I have a Raymarine C70 on the big boat. How does the Lowrance compare to it. Those who have an HDS 8 or 10, how do you like them? Is the Garmin more user friendly? My Raymarine is not user friendly.
