Low Ball!

If an offer lower than the asking price is a low ball, is an asking price above market value a high ball?

If I own it & you want it you will pay what I ask for it or you really don't want it

What is "market value" anyway?

Market value is the price buyers are willing to pay.

To sell your boat, it must be priced realistically; avoid
personal attachments.

Usually, this means you will take some loss on your 'investment'.
Perhaps the loss will be offset by you learning a thing or two.

Once sold, you then can go forward into another 'venture'.

Aye.

Agree with Foggy here. I've noticed that sellers with unrealistic expectations are far more common than buyers who make truly outlying offers ("lowballers"). I've been looking at a particular power cat for almost 18 months. I like it, have the $$, and would pursue it, but I believe it's grossly overpriced. My offer would be so far below asking that it would likely not be well received. The market apparently agrees, and it sits unsold.

Just my thoughts.

Was at a friend's gun shop the other day

He showed me the contract for a piece of commercial property he just bought

Told him I'd looked at it and the asking price was very reasonable

He took them a check for 2/3 the asking price and they snatched it up

Make that offer in cash, you never know 1drink.gif

Never hurts to offer money! Just don’t offer a crappy trade.

Years ago when I was a Realtor I had a small house listed for 115k. The sellers told me that absolutely NO WAY would they accept anything less than 110k.
An offer came in for 100k. The sellers practically ripped my arm off to accept.
Ya never know!

Martin.
