looking for marina south of NY

I need to find a marina south of NY City where I can launch my boat and store my pickup and trailer for two weeks while I go up the Hudson River and across the Erie Canal. I will return to get the pickup via Amtrak which will get me to Newark. I hope to find a marina that is not too far from Newark so the cost from Newark to the marina is less than about $50. Does anyone know of a marina that would work? Any help with this would be appreciated.

I would look at the Shark river area which is near Neptune and Belmar, New Jersey the municipal marina had a decent ramp and good fairly secure parking and is about two blocks from the train tracks which I'm pretty sure connects to the Newark train terminal. The inlet is very calm and the intercoastal is right out front off the beach. The closer you get to NYC the crazier and pricier things get. Do a search on the internet Belmar New Jersey Marinas. The phone for the Belmar marina is 732 681 2266. Pretty good fishing from the Shark River inlet right up to The Verrazano Narrows Bridge and on up the Hudson. Good fishing up the Hudson in May as the stripers and shad etc run up that way to spawn. Good Luck from a lurker wanta be shheeez! D.D.
