looking for assistance in replacing two cracked windows

Hi, I have a 16 foot angler. It came with two cracked windows. I have bounced around the Pacific a bit and it doesn’t bother me too much but I would like to replace them. I’m on a budget and I’ve never taken apart one of these windows before. Has anyone done this? Has anyone just replaced the glass slider, I’m actually contemplating putting acrylic in but no it’ll get scratched up when I clean the boat.

Lexan would be a better choice than acrylic. Hard to break, not that much more expensive, usually easy to get locally and probably a lot more scratch resistant than an acrylic.

I replaced the slider glass on my 22 this year, it’s pretty straightforward. There is a step by step video on the SeaGlaze website. Go to the support tab then videos / downloads. A local glass shop cut laminated safety glass for the project. Personally I wouldn’t go acrylic or Lexan. Good luck

I had to replace one of my forward windows, because it got badly damaged by the windshield wiper, when the blade came off. I ended up replacing all three forward windows with the automobile green safety glass, that is in most cars. My local mom and pop glass shop did the work for a very reasonable price. If I had only replaced the one window with clear, as original, it would have been very inexpensive.
So, I did spend more than I needed to, but not having the glare in the foreword windows is worth every dime.
